The Cathedral, Australia’s oldest, is usually open to visitors as follows:
Monday 10am - 3pm;
Tuesday 10am - 4pm;
Wednesday 10am - 3pm;
Thursday 10am - 4pm;
Friday 10am - 4pm.
Some variation to these hours may occur, when there are special events scheduled or on public holidays or if our Cathedral School is using the building. Admission is free.
There are welcomers present to answer questions and give you a brochure with information about the Cathedral. Copies of Luke’s Gospel and a booklet that outlines Christian beliefs are also available.
St Andrew’s has magnificent stained glass windows, and there is another brochure available that explains the meaning of many of them.
The office is usually open Monday to Friday, from 10am - 4pm, except for public holidays.
Town Hall Railway Station is directly below us, and the Light Rail (T2 & T3) stops right outside on George Street. Parking is available at Wilson Car Park, 464 Kent Street (parking is free for our Sunday services provided you have validated your ticket in the Cathedral).
Wheelchair access is available at the North (George St) door.
